We’ve talked to you a bit about the upcoming compact crossover, the Honda HR-V, but up until now we haven’t had much to go on. Now we have a debut date at the 2014 LA Auto Show: Honda will officially unveil the HR-V on November 19th at 12:35 PM PST. If you’re not going to be in LA, though, rest easy. The internet is likely to explode with all of the talk of this incredible new vehicle, and we’ll have a blog post up shortly afterward as well.

What to Expect from the HR-V

Like we said, we don’t know a ton about the HR-V, but we do know a few things:

  • It’s built on the same platform as the 2015 Honda Fit.
  • Like the Fit, it incorporates the Magic Seat technology to make it easy for you to convert the rear seating into partial or total storage space.
  • Its compact size makes it an excellent fit for either a city or rural driver.

Now, if you want to know what the HR-V feels like, you’re going to have to wait until we can get one in here at Detroit Area Honda Dealer. Or you could use your imagination and take the 2015 Honda CR-V or the Fit for a spin.

The new CR-V is going to be notably different from the HR-V, but it can give you the feel of what a Honda crossover feels like. And the Fit is certainly going to feel different than Honda’s new crossover, but it can give you a rough idea of the size and maybe even the handling.
