Thousands of new car shoppers at KBB.com have responded to the poll for their Brand Image Awards, and it gives us great pride to announce that Honda was named a Most Trusted Brand and the Best Overall Brand in Kelley Blue Book’s 2014 Brand Image Awards.
With the recent milestone of 20 million US-produced Honda vehicles and the 10 millionth Honda Accord produced (2014 Accord pictured), it’s a pretty good year for Honda.
Winning the Awards
This is not the first time Honda has been honored with either of these awards; in fact, this is the third year in a row for the Most Trusted Brand award to be granted to Honda, and the Best Overall Brand award has the start of a two-year winning streak for the automaker. These awards are in the realm of non-luxury shoppers.
Jeff Conrad, senior vice president and general manager of the Honda automobile division for American Honda, explains how they have gone about building a brand that is capable of such repeated accolades, saying “A brand is really built over the long haul through consumers’ experiences with its products, and Honda is committed to delivering class-leading vehicles that provide lasting enjoyment and value to our customers. Honda simply embraces the challenge of being a brand that people can trust.”
These awards come from Kelley Blue Book’s Market Intelligence Brand Watch study, which is an online model and brand perception tracking study that looks into the habits of over 12,000 new-vehicle shoppers each year through KBB.com.
