The 2015 Honda Civic has just hit the streets, and while there are both sedan and coupe models available to our Detroit Metro drivers, we want to focus on the Civic Coupe today and let you know just why it’s an excellent small car for you. From its fuel efficiency to its standard features to its fun-to-drive nature, the Civic Coupe is simply a joy.
What’s Under the Hood
A 1.8L four-cylinder engine is under the hood of each Honda Civic Coupe, and it’s capable of up to 143 hp. That’s quite the punch for a compact car, and yet the 2015 Honda Civic Coupe LX with CVT earns an EPA-estimated highway fuel economy of 39 mpg.*
Finding the Right Trim Level
We know that many of you don’t come to a vehicle like the Civic Coupe for its engine, impressively efficient as it is. These days, drivers choose Honda vehicles for their affordability and for their available features. Here’s what you can find on the three available trims for the Civic Coupe:
- LX: The entry-level trim is far from basic, giving drivers Bluetooth HandsFreeLink for streaming audio and handsfree phone calls, a touchscreen infotainment system, a rearview camera, and more.
- EX: Stepping up to the EX trim adds on 16-inch alloy wheels, a CVT, Honda LaneWatch, push-button start, automatic climate control, and more.
- EX-L: The top-of-the-line trim comes with the CVT with steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, leather upholstery, heated front seating, 17-inch alloy wheels, and the option for a satellite-linked navigation system.
You may be wondering about the Special Edition (SE) trim, but that new trim level is only available on the Civic Sedan.
