The 2015 Honda CR-V has been one of the most popular models in our current lineup since it debuted at Detroit Area Honda Dealers in October, and we are proud to say that the positive reviews keep rolling in. Let’s take a look at what the 2015 Honda CR-V reviews are saying.
What the Critics Say
We had a tough time narrowing down all of the reviews into a few soundbites for you, but these are two of our favorite critics’ responses to the CR-V:
- Automobile Magazine said, “The refreshed 2015 Honda CR-V checks all the boxes for compact-crossover shoppers.”
- Edmunds.com addressed how the CR-V managed to keep doing what it does, and doing it well: “The refreshed 2015 Honda CR-V gets a new engine … plus new safety, comfort and convenience features. If you’re shopping for a top-shelf compact SUV, the CR-V remains one of your best bets.”
As if that’s not enough, the 2015 CR-V was named the 2015 Sport/Utility of the Year by Motor Trend and one of the Best Buys for 2015: Small SUV by Kelley Blue Book.
What Defines the New CR-V
While the CR-V has always been a great choice for families on the go, the 2015 model is particularly impressive, featuring a new trim level with state-of-the-art Honda Sensing technology—including lane departure warning, forward collision warning, lane keeping assistance, and collision mitigation braking—and a new engine with improved torque and fuel efficiency:
- The 2.4L four-cylinder under the hood of the CR-V is rated at 185 hp and 181 lb-ft of torque
- Drivers of the 2015 CR-V 2WD will enjoy an EPA-estimated 34 highway mpg and 27 city mpg.*
The features found on even the entry-level CR-V make it one of the most remarkable crossover on the road, too. We can’t pin down everything that led to those positive reviews, but we think that the fuel economy, new safety tech, and game-changing standard features account for much of the critical response to Honda’s crossover.
