2015 Honda Fit 2We love the 2015 Honda Fit here at Detroit Area Honda Dealers, and we’re glad to say that we aren’t the only ones. At this year’s Specialty Equipment Market Association conference, Honda brought a special Fit to the event that helped bring the “fun-to-drive” nature back to the hatchback that has helped define the affordable, fun-to-drive car. Let’s take a look at what the Fit brought to SEMA 2014.

How to Succeed at SEMA

SEMA is one of the few auto shows that’s made specifically for the auto industry and the customization experts—not that we as fans don’t love it—and success at SEMA is a sign of excellent automotive engineering and design. That’s why we’re so proud of the special take on the Fit taking home the “Hottest Sport Compact” award. Of course, when you have nine different sport compacts on display, all special takes on the same model, you’ve got a tough time not taking home a trophy.

That’s right, Honda brought nine distinct versions of the Fit to SEMA. Six were developed and voted on by Honda fans on Tumblr while another was built by Honda Performance Devision (HPD) and another by Bisimoto.

“The 2015 Fit is a worthy addition to Honda’s strong heritage of developing tuned sport compact vehicles, and it wears the mantle of “Hottest Sport Compact” well,” said Jeff Conrad, SVP & General Manager of Honda Division, American Honda Motor Co, Inc. “Fun to drive, versatile and a great value, the new Fit does so many things right, and it’s great to see it becoming a popular platform for owner personalization.”

Of course, if you want to get a fun hatchback, all you need to do is drive the new third-generation Honda Fit. With a powerful four-cylinder engine and available continuously variable transmission, you can get one of the most responsive hatchbacks on the road without any need to sport-tune or upgrade it. Of course, those HPD upgrades are available for purchase at sanctioned retailers.
